About CareToSave / Hyko

CareToSave B.V. is a social enterprise that, under the product name Hyko, develops a connected system for measuring and visualizing household electricity consumption. The system consists of a current clamp (Hyko Senses), which measures consumption in real time at the main cable of the electricity meter, and a glowing, bear-shaped connected device (Hyko Bear) that displays consumption via color coding. Also part of the offering are a mobile app (iOS/Android) with gamification, goals and tips, as well as a cloud for data storage and analysis with IoT integrations. An interactive story with voice-over is intended to teach children energy awareness in a playful way. The company was founded in Oslo and took part in the Rockstart Smart Energy program in Amsterdam.
