Carl Spaeter GmbH is a steel trading company founded in Duisburg in 1897, part of the family-owned SPAETER group, which consists of 16 independent companies and various sales offices with a nationwide network of branches. The central functions of the group are managed from the Duisburg location; at the same time, Duisburg is a sales location with its own warehouse for stainless steel and aluminium as well as the seat of the rolled steel export department and the raw materials department. The product range covers the complete aluminium semi-finished product programme – sheets, strips, bars, over 900 profiles, Alucobond/Dibond composite panels as well as roof and wall products made of aluminium and steel – alongside rolled steel products, steel pipes, non-ferrous metals and construction supplies. Services range from warehousing and further processing (cutting, delivery in fixed lengths), anodised and painted aluminium profiles to the development of special profiles together with suppliers and customers. With its own vehicle fleet and contract hauliers, SPAETER supplies customers from all over Europe, including from industry, metal and vehicle construction, roof and facade construction and illuminated advertising. A certified quality management system according to ISO 9001 has been in place since 1994.
