About CARLISLE® CM Europe
CARLISLE Construction Materials (CCM) Europe develops and produces waterproofing and sealing systems for the entire building envelope. Its core business is EPDM production: under the RESITRIX® (EPDM/bitumen hybrid) and HERTALAN® (custom-manufactured EPDM membranes) brands, single-ply roofing membranes are manufactured, complemented by SURE-WELD® TPO/FPO membranes with polyester reinforcement, SURE-MELT® hot-bitumen systems, ARBOFLEX® liquid-applied membrane made of pure polyurethane, and ALUTRIX® self-adhesive vapour barrier membranes made of aluminium composite foil. The portfolio also includes PU sealants and adhesives (ARBO), flat-roof insulation (INSUTRIX), stainless steel accessories and fall-arrest systems. The value chain includes an in-house R&D and testing laboratory, technical calculations (wind uplift, drainage, U-value), CAD detail planning, and CARLISLE® ACADEMY training courses. The group is part of the publicly listed CARLISLE Companies Incorporated (USA) and produces at eight sites in Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Romania.

Materials & Processes
EPDM (ethylene propylene diene rubber)
Synthetic rubber with high resistance to weathering, UV, ozone and ageing from approx. -50 °C to +130 °C; the basis of the RESITRIX® and HERTALAN® brands.
Thermoplastic polyolefins
Plasticiser-free, halogen-free and heavy-metal-free single-ply roofing membranes (SURE-WELD®) with a polyester fabric insert for high tear strength.
Polyurethane
One-component liquid-applied membrane (ARBOFLEX® PU, LIQUISEAL) for air- and watertight waterproofing of complex details, and the basis of ARBO sealants.
Butyl rubber
Material of the first roofing membrane developed by Hertel in 1966.
Polymer-modified bitumen
Combined with EPDM, a constituent of the RESITRIX® hybrid membranes and of the SURE-MELT® hot-melt system.
Aluminium composite foil
Reinforced, cold self-adhesive material of the ALUTRIX® vapour barrier membranes for high tensile strength and an sd value > 1,500.
Polyester fabric
Internal reinforcement layer of the SURE-WELD® TPO membranes for break and tear-propagation resistance.
Natural rubber
Historical raw material of the group's rubber processing since the 19th century.
