About Carthago
Carthago Reisemobilbau GmbH is an owner-managed family company based in Aulendorf in Upper Swabia (“Carthago City”). Founded in 1979 in Ravensburg, the company manufactures premium-class fully integrated and semi-integrated motorhomes with complete in-house body construction on the Fiat Ducato, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Iveco Daily base vehicles, in some cases on AL-KO low-frame chassis. The body construction technology features full-aluminium sandwich side walls with Styrofoam insulation as well as double floors for frost-protected accommodation of tanks and storage space. The value chain ranges from vehicle development through body construction to assembly at three sites, complemented by custom conversions of base vehicles. With more than 1,500 employees and around 250 trade partners in Germany and abroad, Carthago is one of the leading independent motorhome manufacturers. The portfolio ranges from model series in the 3.5-tonne class to 6.7-tonne models; sales are conducted via the factory outlet with a large sales exhibition in Aulendorf and through a dealer network.
