About Cartken
Cartken is an AI-based robotics company that develops autonomous mobile robots (AMR) for material transport in indoor and outdoor environments. Founded in 2019 by former Google engineers and headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, with a German subsidiary (Cartken GmbH) in Munich, the company offers the Hauler, Courier and the announced Mover robots for payloads of 20 to 1500 kg. The robots navigate camera-based without expensive LIDAR systems across a wide variety of surfaces, in any weather and day/night, integrate with elevators, gates and doors, and according to the manufacturer are ready for operation within 1 to 7 days without infrastructure measures. Use cases include building-to-building and point-of-use transports in manufacturing plants, warehouses, pharmaceutical and research environments, and on corporate campuses; with Stirling Ultracold, cold chain transport down to -86 °C is also offered. Customers and partners include, among others, ZF LIFETEC, Melco Mobility Solutions (Mitsubishi Electric), Uber Eats and Rakuten in the USA, Germany, Denmark and Japan.
