CARVEX is a company of the CARBO Group based in Bad Hönningen, specializing in the development of new process technologies and the construction of application-engineered plants for the food and pharmaceutical industries. Its core business is pressure disinfestation with CARBO carbon dioxide (CO2): The process operates at ambient temperature and pressures of up to 30 bar and frees food raw materials from stored-product pests. Based on many years of research and development as well as long-standing experience in contract treatment, the company possesses extensive know-how regarding fields of application and effects on product quality. Since the resistance of pests to CO2 pressure treatment varies, the process parameters are adapted to the pest species present in the respective goods to be treated.
