Carwood is a globally active remanufacturer, parts distributor and technical service provider for the automotive, off-highway, motorsport and defence industries. Founded in 1966 in Coventry, the company began with the remanufacture of starters and alternators and today offers a broad portfolio: remanufacturing of diesel injection systems, turbochargers, engines, rotating electrics, HVAC components and bus doors, DPF cleaning as well as repair and supply of defence equipment. Remanufacturing is carried out to OE standard with disassembly, inspection, cleaning, replacement of worn parts with OE components, assembly and testing to as-new condition. In addition, Carwood provides technical services such as diagnostics, maintenance and on-site repair, plus test and diagnostic equipment and worldwide parts distribution. Around 240 employees work at five sites in the UK and Germany, including Carwood Germany in Bielefeld.
