About CAS
CAS - Cordless Alliance System is a cross-brand battery system for the professional 18-volt class. One CAS battery pack powers machines from over 50 CAS brands, including cordless screwdrivers, saws, angle grinders and other power tools, totalling more than 500 devices. The system is based on Metabo's battery technology, which draws on over 40 years of experience in battery development; CAS batteries are developed in Germany. The portfolio includes LiPower batteries for outputs up to 1000 watts, LiHD batteries up to 1500 watts, and LiHDX batteries with tabless technology for outputs up to 1800 watts. With one platform for batteries and chargers, trade and construction professionals save time and costs. Since 2009, the batteries have been 18-volt compatible; 15 million CAS batteries have been sold to date.
