Casa Lusitania Bern GmbH is a family business founded in Bern in 1991 that specializes in the sourcing and distribution of Portuguese wines. The range comprises over 200 wines from all regions of Portugal – red, white, rosé and sparkling wines as well as port – following the principle «Só castas portuguesas»: only wines made from Portuguese grape varieties. In addition to the wine shop, the company operates a specialty store at Lorrainestrasse 2A offering Portuguese foods such as Pata Negra, raw ham, cheese, olives, Flor de Sal, tuna, seafood and stockfish (bacalhau); the pastéis de nata come from a Portuguese baker every Friday. Further offerings include the MYSTERY BOX wine subscription, warehouse sales and events as well as the company's own wine line «Das isch Läbe». The company supplies restaurants and catering businesses in the Bern region and private customers throughout Switzerland. The eleven-member team is led by Claudia, Francisco and Remo Aragão.
