Caspari GmbH & Co. KG is an owner-managed family business founded in 1964, headquartered in Waldbröl, that manufactures pallets and wooden packaging. The product range includes EPAL Europallets, chemical pallets (CP 1–9), single-use pallets, custom pallets, module packaging for photovoltaic modules, as well as crates and custom-made wooden packaging. Production uses PEFC-certified wood on automated production systems supported by KUKA robots; the process chain includes technical consulting and design, wood drying, certified IPPC/ISPM-15 heat treatment, and an own truck fleet, warehouse and inventory management. Customers come from the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, food, retail and logistics, mechanical engineering and automotive, as well as export. A take-back and recycling program reconditions used pallets, and unusable residual materials are energetically recovered in the company's own biomass plants in Waldbröl and Herne; photovoltaic systems on the plant roofs cover a significant share of electricity demand. In addition to its Waldbröl headquarters, the company produces in Herne (focus on CP pallets for the chemical industry) and, since 2017, in Grevenbroich–Neurath (custom pallets, production and storage space).
