About CASSEL Inspection
CASSEL Messtechnik GmbH (CASSEL Inspection) has been developing and manufacturing inspection systems for industrial applications since 1994: metal detectors, X-ray inspection machines, combi systems and Teltek checkweighers. The systems detect metallic and non-metallic foreign objects such as glass, ceramics, plastic, stone or bone in packaged and unpackaged products, bulk materials, powders, liquids and pastes – from raw material intake to the finished product. The units are customized to the respective production line, including pipeline detectors, side-view X-ray scanners for glass-in-glass inspection and wide-format systems for nonwovens, paper and cardboard. Around 1,000 units are produced annually at the Dransfeld site (Lower Saxony); the systems are in use by customers in over 60 countries. Core industries are food and beverages, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, chemicals and plastics, textiles and nonwovens, wood processing, paper and cardboard, recycling as well as mining. CASSEL is part of TASI Test and Automation (Division Packaging Inspection) and operates US sales and service locations in Ohio and Wisconsin.

The systems document test reports for audits (Performance Verification Certificate) and support HACCP, IFS, BRC and 21-CFR compliance via the proprietary XIA software with automatic electronic audit trail. The pipeline X-ray systems are FDA compliant.
