About Catensys
Catensys Chain Drive Systems GmbH is the former chain drive division of Schaeffler and now an independent company with the same team that has been supporting the engine industry for more than 30 years. The company develops and manufactures highly advanced chain drive systems and components for all applications with combustion and hybrid engines – from automobiles to motorcycles, motorboats and snowmobiles. The product portfolio includes chains (IT chains, roller chains, bushing chains), sliding guides and guide rails with steel, aluminium or plastic carriers, hydraulic and mechanical tensioners, and sprockets, including versions with bearings. The systems are designed for lower noise and friction values, high durability and temperature resistance, and meet the stringent customer standards of engine manufacturing. More than 600 employees develop and produce chain drive solutions that, according to the company, have already been installed in millions of vehicles.
