cellumation GmbH is a high-tech company based in Bremen specializing in modular conveyor technology. Its core product is the patented celluveyor: an omnidirectional conveyor system built from identical hexagonal cells, in which three independently driven wheels per cell enable conveying, positioning, rotating, sorting and aligning of objects in a minimal footprint. Its functionality is largely defined by software — complemented by a vision system with 3D cameras that tracks and corrects objects in real time. On this basis, cellumation offers applications such as layer singulation/depalletizing (cv.DEPAL), singulation (cv.SINGULATE), sorting (cv.CROSSDOCK, cv.BULKSORT), pallet layer forming (cv.PAL), inducting (cv.INDUCT) and multifunctional conveyor units (cv.GO). The company emerged in 2017 from a university research project, employs more than 50 staff and is located in the Bremen Technology Park. Systems are integrated via system integrators at customers such as DHL, Arvato Bertelsmann and KNAPP, including as retrofits in existing installations, and are distributed internationally.

Quality & Maintenance
The cells are IP54-rated and sixfold redundant: if a cell fails, the surrounding cells initially take over. Remote maintenance is performed via encrypted VPN/SSH connections; every system is maintained in Bremen as a digital twin in order to analyze faults and test updates in advance.
