About Cellwar
Cellwar GmbH, headquartered in Gwatt/Thun, is an owner-managed plastics specialist with over 115 years of experience. The company, with more than 30 employees, machines thermoplastic semi-finished materials such as PMMA (Plexiglas) and polycarbonate (Makrolon) using CNC turning and milling, bonding, welding including high-frequency welding, and in-house screen printing. Products include functional machine covers and protective housings, precision parts for laboratory equipment and medical applications, lighting solutions and optical components. The specialised CellOptiX-SwissBond division has offered optical bonding for display technologies for over 15 years, from prototype to series production. All manufacturing takes place exclusively at the Thun site on more than 3000 m² of production space with a CNC machine fleet fully renewed in 2016; CAD/CAM engineering and consulting complete the value chain from a single source. Customers include Büchi, Tecan and Metrohm, among others. The company has been ISO 9001 certified since 2008.
