About CEMAS Elettra
CEMAS Elettra is a manufacturer of plastic welding systems founded in Italy in 1982 and has grown into one of the largest European suppliers in this field. The company manufactures customized systems and special machines for laser welding, vibration welding, infrared welding, hot plate welding, ultrasonic welding, staking and gluing, as well as hybrid machines that combine vibration and infrared. In addition to system engineering, the service portfolio includes consulting and feasibility studies, design (CAD), rapid prototyping and manufacturing, welding trials with pilot production in its own Process Development Center, and after-sales support and maintenance via a global service network. The materials processed are thermoplastics. Main customers are OEMs from the electronics and plastics processing industries; more than 3,000 products have been developed for various industries, with over 200 installations per year. The company operates production plants in Italy, Brazil, China, Mexico and Turkey, as well as technical and sales offices, among others, in Germany (Großostheim), France, Poland, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, India and the USA – 14 active branches worldwide in total.

Technologies & Materials
Laser welding
Produces clean, precise and visually high-quality weld seams on thermoplastics.
Vibration welding
Joins thermoplastics through friction heat and is suitable for parts of many sizes and shapes.
Infrared welding
Contact-free, residue-free joining with heat output adapted to the joint geometry.
Hot plate welding
Reliable, strong weld joints across various part sizes through direct contact.
Ultrasonic welding
Fast, precise joining through high-frequency oscillations, individually adaptable.
Staking (infrared)
Point joining, ideal for electronics and sensitive surfaces.
Gluing
Flexible, heat-free joining of thermoplastics with specialized adhesives.
Hybrid technology (vibration + infrared)
Combines vibration welding with infrared heating for efficient joining of complex thermoplastic parts.
Process Development Center
Welding trials and pilot production for parameter optimization before series production.
