Centrimax – Winkelhorst Trenntechnik GmbH from Cologne is a full-service supplier of fully and service-refurbished separators, decanters and industrial centrifuges, mainly from makes such as GEA Westfalia Separator, Alfa Laval, Flottweg, Siebtechnik, Andritz (KMPT), Heinkel and CEPA. The family business, founded in 1978 by Dipl.-Ing. Stephan Winkelhorst, has been run since 2000 by the second generation under Dipl.-Kfm. Jochen Winkelhorst and has operated under the Centrimax® brand since 2002. The inventory comprises more than 700 machines, so projects can usually be realized within six to eight weeks – with savings of up to 70 percent compared with new equipment. The general overhaul comprises twelve work steps including disassembly, sandblasting and repainting; bowls made of chrome-nickel-molybdenum materials are non-destructively tested and, if necessary, overhauled at the manufacturer, and new PLC control systems (Siemens S7) configured to the specific process are generally included in the scope of delivery. Before delivery, every machine undergoes testing on the company's own test stand with vibration and leak tests according to a 102-point test protocol; a mechanical warranty is included. In addition, Centrimax supplies refurbished process engineering machines such as filters, dryers and evaporators; customers come from the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries as well as environmental technology.

After the overhaul, all machines undergo a test stand run with vibration and leak tests, documented in a 102-point test protocol. Bowl parts are non-destructively material-tested; delivery is with a 13-month (Germany) or 7-month worldwide mechanical warranty.
