CE PROTEC GmbH was founded in 1998 as a manufacturer of refractory products for high-temperature applications and is based in Langenfeld (Rhineland). At the Langenfeld site, mixes, coatings, modules with and without anchoring hardware, surface hardeners (rigidizers) and repair compounds (mouldables/fibre putties) for use up to 1600 °C are developed and produced. The product portfolio also includes all common high-temperature insulation products such as blankets, papers, boards, bricks, felt, sealing wool, die-cut parts, vacuum-formed parts and microporous insulation materials, made from aluminium silicate wool (RCF), alkaline earth silicate wool (AES) and polycrystalline wool (PCW). In addition to production, the company also distributes anchoring hardware, adhesives, lightweight firebricks, castables, throws, guns, feeders and stoppers. Customers come primarily from furnace construction, melting technology (foundries for non-ferrous metals and glass), the refractory sector and furnace operators; further applications are found in the automotive and household appliance industries. Services include consulting, planning of refractory lining installation, installation by the company's own fitters, supervision of project execution, as well as on-site installation and repair work. The company is a member of the Forschungsgemeinschaft Industrieofenbau e.V. (Research Association for Industrial Furnace Construction).
