About us
For more than 20 years, ceram GmbH has been engaged in the production and development of ceramic spray and sintering powders at its Albbruck-Birndorf site. Its range of services covers ceramic spray powders, refractory ceramics, melting and sintering products as well as titanium powder for medical applications, which has been marketed for implants and uses in medical technology for over ten years. Production is carried out through toll and custom melting, milling, air classification, sieve classification and spray drying; in addition, small-scale melts, pilot spray drying and sintering are offered for the development of new spray powders on a trial scale. The materials are based on oxidic minerals ranging from aluminium oxide through chromium oxide and zirconium dioxide to rare earths such as yttrium oxide. The products are used, among other things, in wear, corrosion and abrasion protection, in thermal barrier coatings, for electrical insulation and in medical technology, and are distributed worldwide.
