About Ceramaret GmbH

Ceramaret GmbH, based in Meissen near Dresden, specialises in the development and manufacture of high-precision parts made from technical ceramics. The company, originally founded in 1997, traded as MicroCeram GmbH until 2020 and was acquired by the Swiss Ceramaret AG in April 2018. Complex components are produced from aluminium oxide, zirconium oxide, silicon carbide, silicon nitride, synthetic sapphire and ruby, as well as glass. Machining is carried out using grinding, ultrasonic and laser technology; in addition, ceramic powders are selected and prepared, and shaping and densification are performed. The range of services extends from custom prototype construction and the development of custom materials to series production and the assembly of components and mechanical equipment. With more than 60 employees, the company primarily serves analytical and fluid technology, the watch industry and medical applications. In 2020, a new, climate-controlled production hall with around 800 m² of additional manufacturing space was commissioned at the Meissen site.
