CERASUS GmbH is a Swiss special machinery manufacturer based in Steinen (canton of Schwyz), founded in November 2017. The company develops and implements plants and apparatuses, piping systems, test rigs and end-to-end automation solutions – from the initial idea to the production-ready plant. In the field of process engineering, complete systems such as reactors, storage units, vessels, heat exchangers, columns, measurement and control loops as well as rigs are planned, designed, pre-assembled and commissioned on site. The systems are designed for extreme conditions: pressures from 20 mmH2O to 10'000 bar(g), temperatures from –80 °C to over 2'000 °C and flow rates from 0.5 sccm to 400 m³/h. Materials include heat-resistant and acid-resistant alloys, quartz glass, plastics, special coatings and 3D-printed specialty materials; piping from 1/16" tubings up to DN2000. The automation is based on PLC systems from Beckhoff (Solution Provider partnership), including HMI, SCADA interfaces (OPC-UA, MTP) and Ex zones 0/1/2. Customers include mechanical engineering, apparatus and plant construction, research and test laboratories, railway technology, environmental and energy technology, the food industry, chemicals and automotive suppliers.
