The company was formed in 1991 from the former adhesive tape division of Vorwerk & Sohn and can draw on almost 100 years of production experience in the tape sector. The product range includes fabric, paper and specialty adhesive tapes, used among other things for the insulation and protection of cables and wires in electrical installations, for thermal insulation and sealing of air-conditioning, heating and water pipes, and for assembly, repair and marking applications. In cooperation with the automotive industry, certoplast develops customer-specific products, such as the fabric tape certoplast 529, a laminate of PET fabric and PET fleece with an acrylate adhesive for the bundling of cable harnesses. For the insulation trade and the construction sector, the company offers a special adhesive program for the interface bonding of aluminium-laminated insulation systems. Core markets are automotive, the electrical industry and insulation technology.
