About us

CERTUS KUNSTSTOFF AG is a family-owned company in Birsfelden (canton of Basel-Landschaft), headquartered at Sternenfeldstrasse 42, that has been manufacturing custom plastic parts since 1973. Its range of services includes machining of technical plastics on conventional and CNC-controlled machines (3- and 5-axis milling, CNC lathes), plastic welding, folding/bending for apparatus engineering, design and development, prototyping, and assembly of subassemblies. Parts are produced from samples, drawings, or sketches – from individual spare parts to small series and full-scale series production, complemented by contract manufacturing and container/tank construction with repairs. Materials processed include thermoplastics and thermosets such as PA6, POM, PE, PP, PEEK, PTFE, PET, PVDF, PMMA, PC, PVC as well as hard paper, hard fabric, GRP, rubber, and elastomers, some held in stock. Core industries include laboratory construction, pharmaceuticals/chemicals, food, conveying technology, mechanical engineering, construction & building services, high-voltage technology, and transport technology. For food-contact applications, FDA- and EU 10/2011-compliant materials are offered, including metal-detectable variants and batch traceability.
