About Wocklum Chemie
Chemische Fabrik Wocklum Gebr. Hertin GmbH & Co KG was founded in 1822 in Balve in the Sauerland region and is today managed by the Hertin family in its fourth generation. The core business covers the storage, transport and marketing of acids and alkalis – from inorganic commodities such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and caustic soda to specialities developed in-house or by customers. At the headquarters in Balve and at the Oberhausen site with large tanks for ship and truck transshipment, extensive liquid tank and pallet storage capacities are available; via Wocklum Chemie Nederland B.V. in Numansdorp, the company is networked worldwide. In addition, Wocklum offers production and contract manufacturing, with several reactors for solid-solid, solid-liquid and liquid-liquid mixtures as well as filling, labelling and assembly. As a certified specialist disposal company, the company takes back used acids, alkalis and hazardous wastes and closes material loops. Customers come primarily from the fields of power plants and energy supply, water treatment, electroplating, hot-dip galvanizing, swimming pool and water chemistry, and agrochemistry.
