CHEMSPANS GmbH is a mid-sized trading company focused on serving the biodiesel industry. The focus is on sourcing various by-products from the biodiesel sector in Central Europe. The company purchases products on local and international markets and distributes glycerin-containing material streams to wherever they are needed. In addition, Chemspans supplies production plants with alternative raw materials such as used cooking oil (ISCC-EU certified) and vegetable fatty acids. The portfolio also includes catalysts for biodiesel production such as sodium methylate (30% solution in methanol) as well as biomass for biogas production and DDGS for the animal feed sector. The product range includes crude glycerin (min. 80%), distilled glycerin in pharmaceutical quality (min. 99.5% EP/USP) and technical quality (min. 95% and 99.5%), glycerin phase and glycerin water, biodiesel fatty acids (RME & FAME), soap stock as well as oils and fatty acids. The company holds certifications as a supplier of sustainable biomass (REDcert-EU), a waste broker licence, and approval as a single feedstuff trader, and is a member of GROFOR, the German Association of Wholesale Trade in Oils, Fats and Oil Raw Materials e.V.
