About Chr. Otto Pape GmbH

Chr. Otto Pape GmbH was founded in 1887 by master brass founder Chr. Otto Pape and is a family-run company headquartered in Langenhagen near Hanover. Since 1990 the company has produced aluminium powder, grit and granulate; the portfolio includes atomised grit (spray grit), pyrolytically produced foil grit, mechanically produced mill grit, granulate with grain sizes from 0.5 to 10 mm, and customer-specific blends. In addition, the company offers passivation of aluminium grit, screening to customer specification (63–1500 µm for grit), mixing, packaging, as well as analytical technology and radioactivity monitoring. Alongside production, the company operates a metal trading business focused on aluminium as well as the processing of metals such as non-ferrous metals, iron, steel, copper, brass, lead, zinc and tin as a certified waste management specialist company. Since 2013, the company has operated a second production site for aluminium granulates in Zörbig (Saxony-Anhalt). The extensive warehouse ensures reliable supply to customers and balances out supply bottlenecks and surpluses.
