About us
Christa Humpert Metallwaren GmbH is a family-owned company founded in 1975 by Josef Humpert and based in Werl. Originally focused on welding accessories for arc welding equipment, production soon shifted to battery charging clamps and charging clips of exceptional quality. Today's product range includes battery charging clamps, battery clips, jumper cables, battery-side and motor-side ground straps made of braided copper, as well as ground clamps. Products are made predominantly from brass, for example in the form of cast charging clamps for larger vehicles, and from copper for cables and braids. Customers include major accounts throughout Germany, across Europe and overseas. The company employs six staff plus seven temporary workers and has been operating as a GmbH since 2003.

History
- 1975
Founded as a sole proprietorship by Josef Humpert; initially manufacturing and distribution of welding accessories for arc welding equipment.
- 1980
Move from the home basement and garage to the current company building; product range expanded to include battery charging clamps, jumper cables and ground straps.
- 2003
Conversion of the sole proprietorship into a GmbH; Birgita Humpert and Franz Düsener take over the management.
- 2007
Josef Humpert retires from active professional life and continues to support the company as an advisor.
