About Christen & Laudon

Since 1960, Christen & Laudon GmbH has developed and manufactured tanks, vessels and pipes made of glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) as well as the composite of GRP with thermoplastic lining. The product range includes tanks for storage, filling and transfer as well as vessels such as scrubbers, separators, demister housings and quenchers, designed to customer specifications. Pipes are produced on automatic winding machines and delivered from a nominal diameter of DN 1,000 mm. The materials used are polyester resins, vinyl ester resins and novolak resins with ECR glass as reinforcement; for extreme requirements, the company combines GRP with liners made of PE, PP, PVC, PVDF, ECTFE, PFA or FEP. Customers are found in industry, plant engineering, irrigation technology as well as the sanitary and wastewater sectors. Services include consulting, concept development, design, assembly and quality assurance from the Malbergweich site in Rhineland-Palatinate.

Materials and Processes

GFK

Glass-fibre reinforced plastic

Most frequently used material with very high strength and excellent chemical resistance.

UP

Polyester resins

Base resins for GRP applications with good cost-effectiveness.

VE

Vinyl ester resins

Resin system for increased chemical requirements.

Novolak

Novolak resins

Resin system for particularly chemically stressed applications.

ECR-Glas

ECR glass as glass-fibre reinforcement

Reinforcement fibres used almost exclusively due to their very good chemical resistance.

PE/GFK

PE/GRP (composite with polyethylene liner)

Combination of the strength of GRP with the chemical resistance of PE.

PP/GFK

PP/GRP (composite with polypropylene liner)

Composite for tanks, vessels and pipes with thermoplastic liner.

PVC/GFK

PVC/GRP (composite with PVC liner)

Composite for chemically stressed applications.

PVDF/GFK

PVDF/GRP (composite with PVDF liner)

Highly resistant composite for extreme media and temperatures.

ECTFE/GFK

ECTFE/GRP (composite with ECTFE liner)

Composite for the highest requirements in chemical resistance and temperature.

PFA/GFK

PFA/GRP (composite with PFA liner)

High-grade composite for extreme chemical applications.

FEP/GFK

FEP/GRP (composite with FEP liner)

High-grade composite for extreme chemical applications.
