About Christian Stöhr / HEL-X

Christian Stöhr GmbH & Co. Elektro- und Kunststoffwaren KG, now a family-run business in its third generation, develops and manufactures extruded filling and growth bodies of the HEL-X brand for biological wastewater treatment and gas treatment. The product range includes HEL-X filling bodies in diameters from 9 to 75 mm as well as the further developments Hel-X Flake, Hel-X Stangen and Hel-X Cluster. The products are used in biofilm processes (MBBR, IFAS, moving-bed and fluidized-bed biology), in aquaculture and ornamental fish breeding, as well as in biogas plants, gas scrubbers and exhaust air purification systems. Manufacturing is carried out exclusively according to the company's own processes from HDPE regranulate or HDPE granulate; product development and mechanical engineering are housed in the in-house research laboratory. The products are used worldwide in more than 2,500 plants. Locations are Marktrodach and Zeyern in Upper Franconia.
