About clappt / ciaras AG
The ciaras AG is a Swiss family-owned company based in the Appenzellerland that has been producing cleaning agents from fresh whey since 2007. Whey, a by-product of cheese production, is stabilised using a proprietary process and refined into biologically readily biodegradable cleaning products. Under the clappt brand, foam and universal cleaners for industry, agriculture, building cleaning and infrastructure have been offered since 2020, including for tractors, barns, trucks, production halls, solar modules and facades. The products are supplied as concentrate in containers ranging from 10-litre canisters to 1000-litre IBC containers. Since 2021 and 2024 respectively, most products have been certified Cradle to Cradle Gold, listed by FiBL for organic farming and dermatologically tested. Production takes place in Gossau (St. Gallen); the entire range is Swiss made.
