About Ciderwerkstatt
Ciderwerkstatt GmbH produces British-style cider at its manufactory in Hetlingen (Schleswig-Holstein). The basis is exclusively fresh apple juice – without concentrate and without artificial flavours. For the organic ciders, fresh organic apple juice from organic farmers in the region is used; for the non-organic-certified Masch cider, apples from private gardens, orchard meadows and plantations of the Haseldorfer Marsch are harvested and pressed. Production includes pressing the apples, fermenting the juice with cider yeast, separation from the yeast, maturation of at least three months and bottling in reusable bottles with carbonic acid. Depending on the variety, it is refined with apple juice, sugar or winter spices. The company was founded in 2019 and supplies the gastronomy, retail and wholesale sectors; in addition, it develops private-label recipes and individual gift labels.
