Expertise in Fibre Composites
CirComp GmbH, based in Kaiserslautern, develops and produces semi-finished products and components made from high-performance fibre composites that are precisely tailored to customer requirements. Manufacturing takes place using CNC-controlled filament winding with the company's own FilaWin® technology, the pultrusion process and resin injection technology; in addition, thermoplastic fibre composites are processed by injection moulding, and machining (turning, milling) as well as finishing such as grinding and painting are offered. The fibre materials used include carbon fibres, glass fibres, aramid fibres and basalt fibres in combination with thermosets or thermoplastics; with the FilaWin® technology, laminates with glass transition temperatures of up to 400 °C are supplied. The products find buyers in the industries of industrial, marine and aerospace. The company is a subsidiary of Albany Engineered Composites, Inc. and is certified to ISO 9001:2015, EN 9100:2018 and Nadcap. For the development of a composite made from a high-temperature-resistant hybrid resin nanocomposite and high-performance fibres, CirComp was awarded the Rhineland-Palatinate Innovation Prize in 2016 together with the Institut für Verbundwerkstoffe GmbH (IVW).
