About the DS Manufaktur
The Citroën DS Manufaktur is the manufactory brand of Karl's Autowerkstatt and specializes in the restoration, conversion and new production of Citroën DS vehicles. Founder Roman Matheja, master coachbuilder with over 40 years of experience in coachbuilding, devoted himself to classic car restoration from the very beginning; hundreds of vehicles have been restored and preserved for posterity since then. Over the past 25 years, the focus has been especially on the Citroën DS models. The services include complete restoration, coachbuilding, conversions as well as modernization of technology, rust protection, comfort and luxury, in which many in-house developed detail improvements increase everyday usability without changing the design or character. Since August 2020, the manufactory has been an exclusive partner of Chapron International and thus the only manufacturer worldwide of the DS Cabriolet under Chapron license: The "Henri Chapron Series 2" is produced with free choice of year of manufacture, model and color scheme and is documented by production number, Chapron certificate and entry in the original Chapron register. Steel is used for the coachbuilding as well as leather and textile for the interior.
