City Ambulanz GmbH is a patient transport service based in Siegburg and operates passenger transport under the German Passenger Transport Act (PBefG) pursuant to § 49. The company transports patients seated, lying down on a stretcher or in a carry chair, as well as in their own wheelchair with a TÜV-certified restraint system; spacious estate vehicles are available for ambulatory patients. The range of services includes trips to radiotherapy and dialysis treatment, doctor visits and rehabilitation measures, hospital transports (admissions, discharges, transfers), heavy-load patient transports up to 250 kg, long-distance trips and repatriations from abroad. The vehicles used comply with DIN EN 1789, are equipped with air conditioning and auxiliary heating, and undergo regular routine disinfection and maintenance by a contracted workshop. The head office can be reached 24 hours a day on a toll-free number; transports can be requested in the Cologne, Bonn and Rhein-Sieg district area. As a contracting partner of all health insurance funds and company health insurance funds, the company settles services directly with the insurers upon request.
