About City-Polster
City-Polster Handels GmbH is a family-run furniture store in Kaiserslautern that has specialized in upholstered furniture since 1981. The product range includes sofas, upholstered suites, armchairs and recliners as well as boxspring beds and mattresses from well-known manufacturers; since 2014/2016, boxspring beds and mattresses have been produced under the company's own retail brand meybett and also sold through other retailers. The retail business is complemented by the company's own City-Polsterei upholstery workshop (founded in 2009), which carries out re-upholstering, new covers in fabric or leather, repairs and individual custom-made pieces; since 2011 the workshop has been open to customers as a Gläserne Manufaktur (transparent workshop). Materials processed include fabric and leather coverings, frames made of hardwood, solid wood and engineered wood, padding made of cold foam, HR foam and poly foam with pocket springs or serpentine springs, as well as powder-coated metal frames. The service offering includes personal expert advice, 3D interior planning, on-site measurement as well as delivery and assembly by the company's own skilled staff. Customers from Kaiserslautern and the Palatinate are served on around 3,000–4,000 m² of exhibition space on Merkurstraße.
