Clausing GmbH Fahrzeugtechnik is a vehicle partner specialising in commercial vehicle bodies, in existence since 1886. The company manufactures truck bodies and trailers of all sizes and classes – including platform bodies with loading cranes, ballast platforms for heavy-haul tractor units, swing-wall bodies for workshop vehicles, tarpaulin and box bodies as well as special vehicles such as glass transport vehicles, exhibition vehicles and VIP coaches with hand-laminated insulated composite bodies. Manufacturing includes shear cutting up to 6 mm material thickness, forming on a hydraulic press brake, MIG/MAG and TIG welding, painting in the company's own paint shop as well as crane installation up to 80 mt. The materials used are predominantly fully galvanised steel and aluminium, while leather, Alcantara and fabric are processed in the in-house upholstery and trim shop. CAD-supported 3D design and, since 2020, paperless production with terminals at all production and assembly stations form the basis for individually implemented complete solutions from a single source. The programme is complemented by repairs, maintenance, service and recurring fleet work.
