CLEANGAS GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1991 by Thomas ten Eicken and is a full-service company for refrigerants, dry ice and CO₂ cylinders headquartered in Willingen (Upland). The focus of the CLEANGAS Group is on the processing of carbonic acid (LCO2); more than 16,000 tonnes of raw material are processed every year. The group comprises the divisions CLEANGAS (production and distribution of dry ice and dry ice containers as well as filling and distribution of carbon dioxide cylinders), cleangas on site (construction and management of dry ice production plants), Kältemittel-direkt (filling and distribution of refrigerants) and Soda Magic (carbon dioxide cylinders for water carbonators and distribution of table water systems). Via the brands trockeneis-direkt.de, kaeltemittel-direkt.com and Soda Magic, products are distributed nationwide and in Europe with a 24-hour delivery service. The group serves more than 10,000 regular customers on a production area of over 7,000 m². Sustainability is part of the corporate strategy: an environmental management system accompanies procurement, processing and distribution, and shipping is climate-neutral.
