About Clear Guide Medical
Clear Guide Medical is a manufacturer of medical imaging technology for minimally invasive interventions. Founded in 2010, the privately held company is a spin-out of the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions and Johns Hopkins University, headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, with an additional site in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm, Germany. The product portfolio includes the FDA-cleared SCENERGY TP platform for transperineal image-guided (MR/CT) needle placement, the LUMENA system under development for AR- and AI-supported procedure navigation, as well as VisiMARKERs and TipTAGs. The technology, based on image-based optical navigation, supports biopsies, ablations, pain injections and peripheral nerve blocks and can reduce the number of additional confirmation scans as well as procedure time. Effectiveness has been studied, among other things, in a 30-patient study of SCENERGY TP at the Mayo Clinic as well as for MRI-supported hepatic interventions with LUMENA. Fields of application lie primarily in interventional radiology and medical imaging.
