About clearBee
clearBee is an Austrian sole proprietorship based in Gerasdorf near Vienna that develops a drone-based system for automated exterior window cleaning. At its core is a patented cleaning method that can be used via a special adapter with commercially available DJI drones (Mini 3 / Mini 4 Pro). The product portfolio includes the adapter, a complete set consisting of drone and adapter, and a docking station that charges the drone, switches it on and off, and supplies it with cleaning fluid. Control is via app, timer or Alexa Skill; operation is designed as a semi-autonomous solution in which windows are opened inward and no autonomous outdoor flight is planned. The team of around five covers software development, 3D design and artificial intelligence; since 2018 development has proceeded iteratively on the test rig and in real-world use. In the long term, a switch to fully proprietary drone technology is planned. Sales are in Austria and Germany.
