About ClearSpace

ClearSpace is an in-orbit servicing (IOS) company founded in Switzerland in 2018 and headquartered in Luxembourg. The company develops service products and servicing spacecraft that can inspect satellites in orbit, extend their operational life and safely remove defective objects from orbit in order to enable a circular space economy. Its technologies include systems for navigation, autonomy, rendezvous and proximity operations (RPO) as well as mechanisms for capturing objects. Flagship projects are ClearSpace-1, ESA's first active space debris removal mission (launch in 2028, removal of the PROBA-1 satellite), Phoenix for satellite life extension, and PRELUDE with a launch in 2027 to validate GNC and six-degree-of-freedom rendezvous. Customers and partners include ESA, UK Space Agency, Intelsat, LeoLabs and Orbit Fab. The company employs engineering teams in Luxembourg, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Germany and France.
