CMZ is a manufacturer of CNC lathes headquartered in the Basque Country (Spain) and has been active in the machine tool market since 1945. The product range includes single-turret lathes (TA series), lathes with driven tools (TD Z800-Z1350), long-bed lathes for large parts (TD Z2200-Z3200), twin-spindle machines for bar processing (TTS series), CNC turning centres (TTL series) and gantry loaders for automating short and long production runs. Virtually all lathe components are manufactured in the group's own production plants, including Neoprec for mechanical machining with FMS and Precitor with turning, cylindrical grinding and ISO 8 cleanrooms at a temperature influence of ±1 °C. The group employs more than 525 people across six European subsidiaries, produces around 800 lathes per year (target: 1,000/year) and generated revenue of €110 million in 2023. Sales companies exist, among others, in Italy (CMZ Italia, since 2012) and Great Britain (CMZ UK, Coventry).
