About CNM Technologies
CNM Technologies develops, produces and markets molecularly thin carbon-based membranes, known as Carbon Nanomembranes (CNMs), and describes them as the thinnest polymer film in the world. The new class of materials is used in membrane technology, medicine, electronics, the energy sector and nanotechnology. The company works as a materials expert on its own developments as well as jointly with customers and in research projects on new applications. One focus is on membranes for water filtration with previously unattained separation properties: extremely high water permeability combined with near-complete impermeability to other substances such as salts or small organic molecules such as alcohol and urea. In addition, CNM composite membranes for the concentration of aqueous mixtures by osmosis are being developed. The company is headquartered in Bielefeld and communicates in German and English.
