Coating Products OHZ e.K. is a specialized, owner-managed trading company for additives and colorants based in Osterholz-Scharmbeck near Bremen. Its product range includes organic Polypearl™ microspheres based on PMSQ, highly crosslinked PMMA and polystyrene, functional polymer additives (antiblocking, light diffusers, matting agents), coating additives (slip agents, soft-feel, texture agents, scratch resistance) as well as specialty pigments with photochromic, thermochromic and phosphorescent effects and color chips for decorative wall and floor coatings. Founded in 1999 as a department of Ritter Chemie and made independent through a management buy-out in 2010, the company supplies compounders, masterbatchers, paint and coating manufacturers, cosmetics manufacturers, the plastics industry, sintering technology and battery manufacturers nationally and internationally. In addition to distribution, Coating Products offers application technology, formulation support and climate-neutral sample shipping. Polymethylsilsesquioxane (Polypearl ME)
Silicone-based microspheres (1–10 µm) with refractive index 1.42 and temperature stability up to over 350 °C for light diffusion and antiblocking.
Polymethyl methacrylate (MH FHD)
Highly crosslinked PMMA microspheres (3–60 µm) temperature-resistant up to 300 °C, particularly suitable for clear coatings and food packaging.
Polystyrene (MS FHC / Diasphere)
Polystyrene microspheres (3–10 µm) as well as nanodispersions (SNX, 0.2–0.4 µm) for antiblocking and light diffusion.
Micronized waxes and wax dispersions
Waxes manufactured and distributed since 2001 for coatings and polymers.
Color chips
Colored chips for the individual design of wall, floor and terrace coatings.
