Coating Visions is a service provider in the field of electronics protection based in Rottweil, specialising in conformal coating, coating and potting of electronic assemblies. The company coats populated and soldered printed circuit boards to protect them from moisture, mechanical stress, vibration, dirt, corrosive gases, salt spray and acids, thereby increasing the operational reliability and service life of the products. The core process is selective conformal coating (SelectCoat) using Nordson Asymtek coating robots, in which areas to be omitted are precisely taken into account without masking work; in addition, dip coating, potting with hotmelt and thick-film materials as well as BGA underfilling are available. Prior to coating, circuit boards can be spray-cleaned in an industrial cleaning system; after coating, an optical quality inspection is performed under UV light (365 nm). The company manufactures from prototype coating (quantity 1, 24-hour express service) to series production of large volumes of over 1,000,000 units. Customers come primarily from the automotive industry, the medical/pharmaceutical sector and safety technology. The company building, constructed in 2007 and expanded in 2016, operates with heat recovery, photovoltaics and a rainwater cistern.

Additional services
Quality
All production steps from the coating system to shipping are subject to optical inspection. Since the coating material contains a fluorescent UV trace, the quality of the protective layer can be checked at 365 nm; the lacquer curtain is set and monitored using a laser measuring system.
