About us

Colono Gourmet GmbH operates a Spanish gourmet concept in Vienna, consisting of a Tapas Bar, a delicatessen shop, an online shop, a catering service and a B2B wholesale business for Spanish foods. The range comprises more than 300–400 product references, including Pata Negra, Ibérico and Serrano hams, Chorizo, Fuet, Sobrasada, Manchego cheese, over 50 canned fish products from Galicia and Portugal, wines and Cavas from Spanish designations of origin, olive oils as well as ingredients for paella. The products are carefully selected; Colono works with family businesses that have perfected their products over generations, and maintains the supplier relationships through regular trips to Spain. The project was initiated by Francisco Carmona, who moved to Vienna in 2012 and previously ran the restaurants Lola (1st district) and el Hans (Leopoldstadt). Wholesale customers include restaurants, tapas bars, caterers and gourmet shops in and around Vienna; catering customers include companies and groups, among others.
