About Colux
Colux GmbH is a company founded in 1992 in Niederkirchen, Rhineland-Palatinate, specialising in colorants for industrial applications. The portfolio covers luminescent pigments (phosphorescence/photoluminescence), cadmium pigments in red, orange and yellow, organic fluorescent and daylight-glow pigments, pearlescent pigments on a MICA basis, silicate pigments made from coated silicate glass, and coloured pigments such as indanthrone, anthraquinone and perylene. Complementing these are soluble dyes for aqueous, solvent-based and oily systems – including azo, solvent, acid, reactive and metal-complex dyes – as well as tagging agents and floor marking systems. The products are used in paints and coatings, plastics, paper, glass and ceramics, inks, oils and waxes, and safety and escape-route markings. In addition to distribution, the company manufactures luminescent paints under the ColuxGlow brand. The pigments are REACh-compliant; services include application consulting, free sampling, delivery in single-container quantities, plus works test certificates and safety data sheets.

Colorants and Processes
Luminescent pigments (phosphorescence/photoluminescence)
Long-afterglow pigments for safety and escape-route markings, suitable for aqueous and HT binders; colours yellow-green, turquoise, blue.
Cadmium pigments (yellow, orange, red)
Inorganic high-temperature pigments for plastics, glass and ceramics as well as artist colours, REACh-compliant.
Fluorescent/daylight-glow pigments
Organic pigments, formaldehyde-free and resistant to chemicals and heat, for coatings and plastics.
Pearlescent pigments (pearl lustre)
MICA-based pigments with interference effect for iridescent colour on light and dark substrates.
Silicate pigments
Flakes of silicate glass with metallurgical surface coating for diamond and mirror effect.
Metal effect pigments (aluminium/bronze/copper)
Heavy-metal-free, stabilised alternatives for aqueous systems.
Coloured pigments (indanthrone, anthraquinone, perylene)
Organic pigments with high colour intensity, among others for artist colours.
Soluble dyes
Azo, solvent, acid, alkali, direct, reactive, disperse and metal-complex dyes as well as optical brighteners for aqueous, solvent-soluble and oil-soluble systems.
Tagging agents / tagging
UV tagging agents and floor marking systems for industrial applications.
