Comde-Derenda GmbH is an internationally active company for innovative measurement technology headquartered in Stahnsdorf near Berlin. Founded in 1972 as an engineering office in Berlin, the company has been developing and producing devices for decades in three business fields: pressure and gas density measurements with a focus on SF6 monitoring, environmental measurement technology for recording air quality, and aids for the blind. The portfolio includes gas density monitors and transmitters, pressure switches, SF6 filling and test cases, small filter devices for fine dust sampling according to EN 12341, as well as long canes for the blind, telescopic canes and children's canes. Manufacturing includes, among other things, aluminium die-cast housings, anodic anodizing, powder coating and assembly; blind canes and cane tips are handmade in Germany and Switzerland. Materials are mainly aluminium alloys such as AlSi1MgMn, AlSi9MgMn and AlSi12 as well as stainless steels 1.4541, 1.4301 and 1.4305 and various types of wood for handles. The products are used, among other things, in the energy and switchgear industry, in air monitoring and in rehabilitation technology.
