Comecer Netherlands B.V., based in Joure (Friesland, Netherlands), was founded in 1960 as Veenstra Instruments and has been part of the Italian Comecer SpA since 2012; on 1 April 2014 the company was renamed COMECER Netherlands. The company specializes in radiation-related safety, control and measurement technology. This core competence is combined with in-house software, mechanical and electronics development, resulting in numerous custom solutions for nuclear medicine, radiochemistry, radiopharmacy and calibration laboratories. The product and service portfolio includes turn-key solutions as well as hotlab management. The team of around 44 develops and manufactures high-tech systems up to assembly-ready units at the Joure site. As part of the Comecer Group, which also includes Vitrae (Czech Republic), the company follows the group strategy of being a worldwide reference point for high-technology systems in nuclear medicine, isolation technology and nuclear power plant equipment.
