About Comet Trading

Comet Trading SA is an independent, family-owned commodities trader headquartered in Geneva (Rue du Rhône 100). Founded in 2017, the company has around 28 employees and specialises in commodities and finished products for the steel and cement industries as well as solid fuels and – since 2024 – fertilisers. The portfolio includes iron ore, metallurgical coal and coke, scrap, pig iron, HBI/DRI, slabs, billets, bar steel, wire rod, hot- and cold-rolled coil, plate, pipes and special steels, as well as clinker, cement, additives such as fly ash, limestone and bauxite, GGBFS/GBFS, thermal coal and petroleum coke, and in the fertiliser sector urea, DAP, MAP, SOP, SSP, phosphate rock and sulphur. In addition to trading, the company offers integrated services along the entire trading chain: logistics coordination, trade finance, sourcing and procurement support, as well as market intelligence and risk management. With trading offices in Cairo, Shanghai, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom and representatives in over 14 countries, Comet Trading is active on four continents. The roots of the family business lie in over 30 years of experience in commodity trading, particularly in the cement and steel industries.
