About Community Playthings
Community Playthings manufactures solid wood furniture and play equipment for day care centres, nurseries and primary schools. The range includes furnishing and room solutions such as shelving, tables, play kitchens, building blocks, movement materials, sand and water stations, and outdoor play equipment from the Outlast series. Production takes place entirely in Great Britain, where modern manufacturing methods are combined with traditional craftsmanship; every component is assembled by hand and every unit is inspected twice and made traceable with an individual identification number. The materials used are mainly solid birch and beech wood, rot-resistant Accoya wood for outdoor use, plus steel, acrylic glass and Sileather upholstery fabrics; the wood used is FSC or PEFC certified. The German sales company Community Playthings Deutschland GmbH is based in Bad Klosterlausnitz in Thuringia and serves customers in Germany with consulting, room design service, delivery and customer service. Products carry certifications such as TÜV testing and Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort Gold and come with a 15-year warranty.
