About Compact Dynamics
Compact Dynamics GmbH, based in Starnberg, is a development partner and manufacturer of high-performance electric drives, generators/MGU and power electronic systems including control and software. The company develops and manufactures electric motors in various machine topologies – synchronous, asynchronous, reluctance and permanently excited machines such as axial-flux, transverse-flux and radial-flux machines – with distributed and concentrated windings, as well as linear drives and actuators. The power electronics portfolio comprises power modules (IGBT/MOSFET/SiC), pulse inverters, power converters and DC-DC converters. The value chain ranges from consulting, feasibility studies, thermal and strength calculations, CFD simulation, design and electronics and software development, through prototype construction and small-series manufacturing, to performance validation on in-house test benches up to 500 kW and test systems for power electronics up to 900 A. Customers include racing teams, automotive manufacturers and suppliers in the motorsport (Formula 1, WEC, Formula E, WRC), aviation, automotive, e-mobility, marine and industrial sectors. The company is 100 percent owned by Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG and employs around 90 staff.
